Breakfast at Alexa's: Humble Beginnings
*Cue 'Moon River' playing in the background as Holly Golightly walks towards Tiffany & Co.*
Hello everyone!
Welcome to a small, cozy corner of the internet, also known as my blog. My name is Alexa, and if you didn't know, the name of my blog is a play-on words with one of my favorite movies called Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), which I shared on the first day of class. Along with that film, here are some other favorites of mine:
East of Eden (1955)

Psycho (1960)

Scooby-Doo (2002)

Me Before You (2016)

Quite a random assortment of movies, but I'd say they're all comfort movies rather than all-time favorites because it's hard to choose favorites.
Of course I love watching movies, but I had interest in taking this class specifically because around the past five years, I've been diving into deeper aspects of film that go beyond the screen. I tend to go through deep internet wormholes to get down to the "hidden" or "real" message of a movie. Not sure why, but I feel like there's always an existential crisis or an epiphanic revelation in doing so.
In terms of future plans in work for film a/o media, I do have a video camera that I use to film random aspects of my life like hangouts, doing my makeup, errands, etc. I love editing them and making my life seem like a cinematic masterpiece. Probably wouldn't do anything professional, but I think it'd be interesting to be on a film set a/o see how the creative process goes down when making a film.
Well, all that goes with my introduction post!
